TEA bestows “Exemplary” rating based on 2009 TAKS Results
The Texas Education Agency released its ratings for all public schools based on 2009 testing- and UT Elementary has earned Exemplary status after outstanding performance in all grades, subjects, and subgroups.
Congratulations to our students, who have consistently applied their best efforts in the classroom and even attended special after-school and Saturday camps to help them prepare for the TAKS testing. Kudos go to all our teachers and staff for their application of the best instructional methods possible, extra hours and energy, hard work, and caring that have led to these results.
Special thanks to the Klein Foundation, the KDK-Harman Foundation, the George and Fay Young Foundation, L & M Charitable Foundation, Austin Community Foundation and the Long Foundations. These donors helped to make these exceptional 2008-09 TAKS scores possible through various programs at UT Elementary, including our intervention program, science demonstration program, summer school, tutoring, and academic enrichment camps.
