The University of Texas String Project
UT Elementary is proud to be able to begin to offer the UT String Project at our school beginning next year. This will be an afterschool program that teaches children to play a string instrument (violin, cello, or viola). The program is tuition based but will be on a sliding scale at our school. We have full tuition slots, half tuition slots, and scholarship (free) slots. The students will have to apply for the program and if accepted, sign a contract that lists student expectations. We will have a student information concert on May 8th (PreK – 2nd at 1:30 p.m. and 3rd – 5th at 2:00 p.m.) and a parent information night on May 15 at 6:30 p.m. This will be our first after-school activity held at the school.
