Kindergarten
The UT Elementary kindergarten classes are taught by Ellen Mangelsdorf and Eunice Tanco. Kindergarten is a special part of early childhood education, where students learn through play, develop social skills, prepare to learn how to read, and promote curiosity in math and science. As kindergarten teachers, our goal is to promote a well rounded student with a strong language and math foundation. We work hard to develop solid oral language skills, number fluency, and curiosity about science and social studies by exploring the world around us. Kindergarten students develop self awareness and self responsibility by recognizing they are unique individuals but also are part of a larger group that must work together. Kindergarten is a time to explore, play and grow.
